Staff Engagement – Walk in my shoes

NHS Leicester City Clinical Commissioning Group were preparing for their annual staff day however the board felt the staff did not have a full cultural contextual comprehensive understanding of the population they served.  This was due to the fact that a large proportion of staff lived outside of the area they commissioned for and there were a number of temporary workers included in the workforce.  Tash Pennant Consultancy worked in partnership with the trust’s existing communications staff to device a concept for the staff away day and how learnings would continue to be embedded across the organisations after the event.  ‘Walk in my shoes’ addressed the concerns of the board and most importantly facilitated for staff to go out into the city of Leicester to learn more about the population in real time rather than just relying on data to inform decision-making. The work delivered by Tash Pennant Consultancy went on to win ‘Best Live Internal Event’ at the CorpComms Awards 2015.

Client Feedback – Director of Operations and Corporate Affairs for NHS Leicester City CCG

“Creative, conscientious and results-driven. These were the traits I was looking for when bringing in someone to manage the design, planning and implementation of a staff conference for around 100 people on a relative shoe-string.

I’m pleased to say that Tash delivered all three in spades, helping to ensure that our event fully hit the brief. Her inclusive can-do approach delivered our best staff event ever; employees were fully engaged and our business-critical messages hit home hard.

In fact, the event was such a success that it scooped several high-profile national wards – beating off competition from several international brands in the process. That success owed much to Tash, and I have no reservations in recommending her.”
